Bert Raccoon and Cedric Sneer
Bert and Cedric are best friends in the show. Even though Cedric's father (Cyril Sneer) is the enemy of the Raccoons throughout most of the show's seven years, Cedric remains good friends with all the Raccoons and inhabitants of Evergreen Forest. Bert is a headstrong, dreamer whose ideas of adventure often end up getting him in trouble. Cedric is a more intelligent and conservative friend that balances out Bert's more reckless nature. As the show develops Cedric falls in love with Sophia Tutu and Bert falls in live with Lisa Raccoon! |
Ralph and Melissa Raccoon
Ralph and Melissa are an older married couple with whom Bert lives in the Everglades. Ralph is the Editor for the local newspaper, the Evergreen Standard.
The two of them look after Bert whilst he is staying with them and act as parent figures to the more impetuous, and younger Raccoon. |
Cyril Sneer
Cyril Sneer is a business man, intent on making money no matter what the environmental or social cost to the Evergreen Forest. Cyril's schemes are often at odds with the other inhabitants of the Evergreen Forest.
Cyril is not just a hard-hearted tyrant however he is shown to have a genuine affection for his son Cyril and a compassionate side. As the years progress his schemes seem to calm down a little and at times he is almost an ally to the Raccoons (when it suits his needs). |
The Pigs
The pigs are Cyril Sneer's main henchman and also the primary reason that many of his schemes fail! I don't remember them having names in the cartoon, if they did they are barely ever mentioned. All the pigs really do is say yes to everything that Cyril Sneer suggests and then go away and muck it up somehow!
The fan-site that I have listed in the resources section is well worth a visit, they believe that the pigs were called Lloyd, Boyd and Floyd, which I can't really argue with!
