Galaxy High! Galaxy High!

Galaxy High was a great cartoon that featured the voice of Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson) and was written by Christopher Columbus (Director of Harry Potter Series). Amazingly this cartoon only lasted for 13 episodes although I  can remember it much better than a lot of cartoons that went on for many series. The crux of the stroy is that Aimee Brightower (who is a geek) and Doyle Cleverlobe (who is a popular cool guy) get transferred from Earth to Galaxy High School. Galaxy High takes students from all across the galaxy, but Doyle and Aimee quickly realise that the roles they were used to playing on Earth do not apply here! Aimee becomes Miss Popularity, whilst Doyle has to learn what it's like to be a nerd. Galaxy High was pretty heavy on the moral lessons, but other than this, it had a great soundtrack, great voices and some funny one-liners it's a shame it only lasted for one series. There are however rumours of a Galaxy High School Movie in development, so watch this space!

Aimee attends Presley High School on Earth whereshe is generally seen to be a geek. However all of this is to change at Galaxy High School, a school that rewards merit and hard-work. Aimee also finds out that men out-number women three to one on Flutor, making a new female automatically more popular than a new Doyle! On her first day at Galaxy High Aimee makes three new friends, is rewarded for her hard-work on Earth with a scholarship and a pink coupe care and is given the most polite locker in the school. The contrats between this and Doyle's first day sets the scene for the rest of the series!

Doyle Cleverlobe

Doyle was used to being very popular back pon Earth, he was a high-school sports star, but didn't put any effort into his studies. On his first day at Galaxy High he gets a feel for what it is like to be un-popular, he also makes an enemy of Beef and a friend of Milo. For his lack of study and effort on Earth Doyle is rewarded with a scooter and a part-time job at Luigi's Lunar Pizza Parlour.
 

The Bonk Bunch

Beef Bonk and the Bonk Bunch!

Beef Bonk is both the school bully and the leader of the Bonk Bunch! The remainder of the bunch are Ronnie Rotten and Earl Echhh.

The Girls

Aimee very quickly makes some god friends at Galax High. From left to right these are Wendy ( a man-eater!), Booey Bubble Head a gorl with a see-through head that is very absent-mined and finally Gilda Gossip who lives up to her name by having several mouths each of which is ready to fill you in on the latest goings on at Galaxy High! 

Milo De Venus

Milo becomes Doyle's best friend at Galaxy High, it goes without saying that his name is a play on Venus de Milo (i.e. with him having multiple arms compared to Venus de Milo's no arms). Milo is the class president and he is generally well liked by other students at Galaxy High even if he is not seen as the coolest kid on the block.

 

The Creep

The Creep

The Creep is like a floating Sugar Puff. He goes around singing love songs (Frank Sinatra style) and tryong to woo the female members of Galaxy High. Aimee mistakenly pay shim attention on her first day at the school and form then on he is smitten with her. He often chains himself to the girls he is infatuated with so that he can stay with them 24/7. Although his behaviour seems a bit creepy, he is shown through various adventures to have a heart of gold and to be a genuine friend to AImee and the gang.

Principle Biddy McBrain

Bidy McBrain is the principal of Galaxy High School. SHe has a lightbulb on top of her head with glows when sh egets particularly emotional. Galaxy High School is built on top of an asteroid called Flutor. Everything in Galaxy High seems to be alive, including a Gym that has got feet and can go for a walk when it feels like, a talking balckboard (again with feet) and personalised lockers that have thier own personalities ( Doyle's has got a bad one!) and agson they have feet!

Coach FrogFace is the male coach for Galaxy High, who we know likes to eat flies (see the picture above!) There is also a female coach (name unknown) who has the body of a horse.

Flat Freddy Fender is a very thin young man who was voiced by Nancy Cartwright - who also plays Bart Simposn!   

 

Professor Icenstein

Professor Icenstein

Professor Icenstein was incredibly clever, he first meets Doyle when Doyle gets turned into a plate of French Fries by Beef on his first day at school. Luckily for Doyle the professor has got a machine to reverse the effects! The professor has to live and work in a special lab that is kept below freezing, as otherwise he would melt.

7. Dollars and Sense Reggie Unicycle (a man who has got a single motorcycle tyre for legs!) is the richest man in the galaxy, he is also in love with Aimee! Aimee falls for his courtship, not realising he is a playboy without her best interestes at heart. The creep finds out the truth and works with Aimee's friends to steer her clear from the playboy's advances.
 
8. Beach Blanket Blow-Up It's Spring-Break! All of the Galaxy High Students head to Fort Lauderoid, except for Doyle who has to stay behind for failing his assignments. Whilst making up his Chemistry assignment he realises that an asteroid is going to crash into Fort Lauderoid and so he springs into action save the day.
 
9. The Brain Blaster Don't Do Drugs!! It's the obligatory anti-drug cartoon, Doyle is under lots of pressure to improve his grades so he starts taing the Brain Blaster to help him with his studies. However his friends soon become worried that he is addicted.
 

Galaxy High School: Episode Guide
1. Welcome to Galaxy High Doyle and Aimee arrive at Galaxy High from Earth. The pair are shown around the school by Milo de Venus and they quickly realise that life at Galaxy High is going to be like nothing they've seen before. Aimee quickly becomes popular and makes anumber of girlfirends, Doyle on the other hand falls foul of the Bonk Bunch!
 
2. Pizza's Honour Doyle is settling in to his job at Luigi's when he is given the unenviable task of having to deliver a pizza to the haunted planet of Tinglar. To make things worse the Bonk bunch decide to follow behind and cause some mischief.
 
3. The Beef Who Would be King Some ambassadors from the planet Cholestorol visit Galaxy High lookoing ofr thier new king. After a brief drag race, Beef beats Doyle to the throne, however things are not as they seem - the Cholestorons want to make Beef Stew out of Beef!
 
4. Where's Milo Milo seems to be constantly causing accidents, his friends don't want to hang out with him anymore as he keeps causing trouble. Milo starts to get lonely until a new jonb offer comes along!
 
5. Those Eyes, Those Lips One of the biggest starts in the Galaxy is due to arrive at Galaxy High - Mick Magger! Booey is his number one fan, and when she finds out that all the tickets to his concert are sold the girls will stop at nothing to get her in.
 
6. Doyle's New Friend Doyle makes a new friend called Wolfgang who is an incessant practical joker. Doyle's friends encourage him to stop hanging around with Wolfgang, but this has unintended consequences for Wolgang.

10. The Brat Pack Principle McBrain decides to try a different tactic with Beef. McBrain puts Beef in charge of a group of infants who are as unruly as he is. Beef learns the meaning of responsibility and loyalty and covers for the infants to keep them out of trouble for thier hi-jinks.
 
11. Founders Day The gang use Professor Icenstein's time machine and accidentaly change the course of history by going back to the asteroid Flutor before Galaxy High was built. But have they accientally stopped Galaxy High from ever having existed???
 
12. Martian Mumps Everyone except for Doyle, Aimee and Professor Icenstein has come down with a serious case of the Martian Mumps. It us up to the trio to save they day!
 
13. It Came From Earth This is the final episode of the season. Gilda Gossip tells Doyle he is a teenage monster. . . . Doyle has a sporting accident and from then on the rest of the episoe is a dream sequence with Doyle and the Galaxy High ganmg living on Earth. Except they have all grown up, fifteen years later and Doyle is 400 feet high!
