Okay, so it’s not the most imaginative storyline ever invented - but is is a cartoon classic. Basically the Earth is under attack from aliens! Mainly these attacks come from the evil planet Spectra, a dying planet that was trying to prey on Earth’s abundant resources. However fear not, Earth has an unbeatable defense in the form of G-Force! G-Force is a team of five super kids, trained since birth to fight off the alien threat and defend the Intergalactic Federation of Planets.
G-Force consisted of Mark, Tiny, Jason, Priness and Keyop - their outfits were very trendy bird-like space-suits (see the pictures below ). They also had a spacecraft along a similar theme called the Phoenix, which did a StarFleet style switch from a normal space-ship into a giant phoenix that could basically crush any bad-guy with a power jet-flame.
The show is a watered down version for American Television of the original Japanese show Gatchaman - this original show included profanity, violence and a hermaphrodite enemy, Zoltar. I've not put too much info on the site, as this cartoon is really a bit before my time, I've just got some vague recollections of watching this, but if you want to learn more then follow the further information links below!
